Definition
Automotive OEM telematics refers to applications based on embedded telematics hardware that is installed at the factory by the car company and is generally integrated into the vehicle data bus. Common examples of OEM telematics are: Automatic Crash Notifications (ACN), remote engine diagnostics, remote door unlock, roadside assistance, stolen vehicle tracking, live traffic alerts, and personal calling.
