Definition
Consumer aftermarket telematics are applications based on hardware devices which are installed after the vehicle is produced and are not usually integrated into the vehicle bus. Examples of most common aftermarket telematics services are: stolen vehicle tracking, remote engine start, driver monitoring, internet connectivity, and geofencing.
