SAN JOSE, Calif. OCTOBER 18, 2004 —Aeris.net, the leading network provider for wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) communications services, announced today an agreement to acquire t-Connect™ and t-Data™ from WirelessCar North America, a leading provider of data services for the telematics and M2M industries.
Under the terms of the agreement, Aeris will acquire both business lines, which adds an immediate capability to provide M2M data services for customers over several additional networks, including GPRS, CDMA2000 1xRTT, SMS, and Mobitex, complementing Aeris's current Multi-mode MicroBurst® network, the largest M2M wireless data network in the Western Hemisphere.

Aeris will also gain the ability to rapidly deploy additional network services that customers may request, such as satellite data or wireline feeds. The multi-platform customer interfaces of t-Connect and t-Data will integrate seamlessly into the Aeris suite of services and will enable Aeris to expand its service offerings - specifically accelerating its customer's commercialization of M2M applications in high-volume vertical markets.
