Western Wireless Corporation is the country's 11th largest carrier in subscriber base, covering a combined population of 11 million throughout 88 Rural Service Areas and 19 Metropolitan Statistical Areas covering 30 percent of the continental Unites States. Designed from the ground-up to serve mobile and fixed short packet data communications, the Digital MicroBurst network combines the existing wireless and wired infrastructures of today's leading wireless carriers with proprietary control channel technology to create a multi-carrier data network specifically optimized for M2M data communications. Western Wireless Corporation adds significant digital coverage to their network, specifically along remote highway corridors.
