SAN JOSE, Calif. and RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina -- (May. 16, 2005) With plans to maintain the lead in wireless machine-to-machine communications, Aeris.net, the largest network provider for wireless M2M communications services, today announced it has selected Sony Ericsson’s CM-52 radio module, as its primary CDMA MicroBurst radio. Sony Ericsson will embed Aeris’ MicroBurst technology into the CM-52 and Aeris will certify the CM-52 for its CDMA MicroBurst service. This will provide an M2M solution that includes network services and OEM hardware for robust, short-packet messaging solutions to the industrial, fleet and automotive industries.
