Earthwave Technologies to introduce Fleetwatcher 3.0 at CONEXPO-CON/AGG® 2008 Exposition
(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) Earthwave Technologies, based in Indianapolis, Ind., will introduce its newest product at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG® 2008 Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada the week of March 10, 2008. Fleetwatcher 3.0 is the construction industry's first and only fleet management solution designed from the ground up to address the operational information needs of the construction company owner using Telematics technology.
Fleetwatcher 3.0 uses a device contractors attach to their vehicles that collects and transmits usage data through a GSM wireless data network to Earthwave's Internet-based application. The Fleetwatcher application provides the contractor with an easy-to-use, online software reporting interface that allows them to view and manage all of the data collected from their equipment. Earthwave Technologies' proprietary hardware and software collects data on location/tracking, movement/idleness, frequency of equipment use, amount of time spent working, amount of time spent idling, and engine starts. Contractors use the information to determine job progress, labor hours accounting, equipment productivity, preventative maintenance needs, and misappropriation of machinery.
A significant improvement over 1.0 and 2.0, Fleetwatcher 3.0 tracks idle time of machinery which is a primary contributor to elevated fuel consumption and equipment depreciation costs commonly incurred by construction companies. Earthwave Technologies customers who reduce their idle time not only reduce these costs and improve the efficiency of their equipment, but they dramatically decrease vehicle emissions that negatively impact the environment - an enormous benefit in today's increasingly regulated "green" marketplace.
"Since deploying the new units, we've received very positive reviews on both the system's expanded capabilities and reliability of the devices," said Mike Paredes, vice president and co-founder of Earthwave Technologies.
Earthwave Technologies has partnered with Aeris® (www.aeris.net), the leading wireless communications service provider dedicated exclusively to the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Telematics marketplace across North America, for its wireless connectivity, billing, and hosting services.
Another significant partner is The Morey Corporation which worked closely with Earthwave Technologies to outline specifications for the hardware portion of Fleetwatcher 3.0, a unit designed to not only meet the rigorous demands of outdoor deployment but also improve upon the capabilities of the previous Fleetwatcher models and operate on a digital cellular network.
