San Jose, Calif. | June 19, 2000 Aeris.net announces an agreement with cellular carrier, Triton PCS, Inc., to deploy its patented MicroBurst service over the analog control channel of Triton's cellular network for machine-to-machine communications. The partnership will extend Aeris's wireless messaging service to new regions in South Carolina, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon and Washington. Now Triton and Aeris customers will be able to develop and deploy wireless telemetry solutions throughout these territories. MicroBurst service enables web-to-wireless connectivity and control of intelligent devices for alarm and security, automated meter reading and asset management applications such as QUALCOMM's untethered TrailerTRAC.
Separately, Aeris announced additional commercial coverage in markets including Buffalo, New York; Albany, Georgia; Durango, Colorado; Reno and Sparks, Nevada; and Sacramento and Los Angeles California.
