AERIS.NET ANNOUNCES THREE NEW VICE PRESIDENTS

SAN JOSE, Calif. | April 30, 2001    —Aeris.net, a leading provider of wireless web, machine-to-machine communications services today announced the promotions of Jim Sotelo to Vice President of Engineering, Dan Jester to Vice President of Business Development and Fred Oliver to Vice President, Channel Management. Aeris continues to leverage rare industry talent and years of wireless technology and management expertise to strengthen its position as a leader in the telemetry market.

Jim Sotelo will be responsible for all engineering development activities for Aeris.net. Before this promotion, Sotelo was the Director of Hardware Engineering where he was instrumental with the design of Aeris's flagship VBurst technology. Prior to working at Aeris.net, Sotelo worked at Trimble Navigation, a leading provider of Global Positioning System ("GPS") based products and systems.

Dan Jester was the Director of Mobile Business Applications before his current promotion to Vice President of Business Development. Jester is charged with initiating and managing new strategic business prospects. Before joining the Aeris.net team, Jester was with CellNet Data Systems and Trimble Navigation where he led business development both in the United States and in Asia.

Fred Oliver will continue to oversee the channel management team in his new position of Vice President, Channel Management. Oliver manages relationships with Aeris's major partners, including Qualcomm and Marconi. Before working at Aeris.net, Oliver was with OLOTECH, providing innovative advanced digital microscopy imaging products.
