MICROBURST COMMERCIAL SERVICE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT MEXICO'S CELLULAR MARKETS

Aeris.net and Telcel PCS Roll Out First Wireless Telemetry Network in Mexico

San Jose, Calif. PRNewswire | Sept. 24, 2001 —Aeris.net, the leader in web-to-wireless machine-to-machine communications, and Telcel, Mexico's premier cellular service provider, have launched the first ubiquitous, low-cost wireless telemetry network available in Mexico. Aeris.net's MicroBurst® wireless data service is ready for service in all of Telcel's Mexico-wide coverage area.

Telcel's mission is to provide customers with the highest quality service possible. Directives have stated that by partnering with Aeris, Telcel is able to offer its customers access to the most efficient and low-cost wireless telemetry messaging service on the market.

All Aeris.net qualified MicroBurst products currently deployed in the United States and Canada will operate in Mexico without any modification to hardware or software. Aeris's Spanish-speaking Marketing and Operation departments are available to support customer products. A Spanish version of Aeris's web site is scheduled to launch in September.

"Our presence in Mexico reflects our commitment to provide MicroBurst developers with the most extensive coverage available," said Dick Gossen, president for Aeris.net. "Commercial coverage in Mexico makes Aeris.net's MicroBurst network the most complete wireless telemetry service in North America, servicing over 345 million POPs. It also complements our services offered in Central and South America."
