Chiarelli is in charge of operations and network management for Aeris's MicroBurst® service at the company's North American Network Operations Center in San Jose, California. Chiarelli will also be responsible for managing relationships with the more than 30 network operators and all service providers with whom Aeris partners to provide MicroBurst service to its growing telemetry and telematics customer base.

Chiarelli has over twenty years of experience in information technology, networking, telecommunications and wireless, including strategic planning, design and implementation of cutting edge systems. Prior to joining Aeris.net, Chiarelli was President and co-founder of EGL Networks, which enabled interoperability for wireless data carriers and connectivity to enterprise customers and solutions via a national routed network infrastructure. EGL Networks was acquired by Paradigm4, a wireless applications services company, in 1999. After the acquisition, Chiarelli became the CTO of Paradigm4. Chiarelli has also worked on the network service provider side of the industry as Director, Data System Quality for AT&T's Wireless Data Division. While at AT&T he was responsible for the 24x7 help desk and network operations center, the construction and system quality of AT&T's first commercially offered wireless packet data service nationally.
