Aeris Joins CTIA's Wireless Internet Caucus Leadership Council

Leading Machine-to-Machine Network Services Provider to Contribute Industry Expertise to Leadership Council

San Jose, Calif. | April 28, 2003 —At the invitation of the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association), Aeris.net becomes the latest member of its Wireless Internet Caucus Leadership Council. The Leadership Council identifies, defines and prioritizes the impediments facing the wireless industry and assembles action teams of WIC members to address and remove them, setting the wireless Internet Industry's agenda and providing it with a roadmap. Aeris, a leading network services provider for fixed and mobile wireless M2M solutions, will represent that segment of the industry.

"Aeris has been serving the mobile telematics and fixed telemetry space for over four years," said Mark Desautels, CTIA's Vice President Wireless Internet Development. "Their customers include entrepreneurial and Fortune 500 companies with commercial wireless products, ranging from home and business security monitoring to stolen vehicle recovery. Aeris will provide the Council with insight to help expand the growth of wireless M2M solutions."

Representing Aeris will be Mark Chiarelli, Vice President Operations and Carrier Relations. Chiarelli has over twenty years of experience in information technology, networking, telecommunications and wireless, including strategic planning, design and implementation of cutting edge systems. Prior to joining Aeris, Chiarelli was CTO of Paradigm4 in charge of development and delivery of wireless applications and carrier network services. Before that, as Director, Data System Quality for AT&T's Wireless Data Division, he was responsible for the construction and system quality of AT&T's first wireless packet data service.

"Aeris is honored to be working with industry leading companies to help facilitate enterprise adoption of wireless data products and services," commented Mark Chiarelli. "We are looking forward to helping influence the roadmap for wireless machine-to-machine applications and solutions."
