AERIS.NET SURPASSES 400,000 WIRELESS DEVICES ON MICROBURST® NETWORK

San Jose, Calif. | Sept 22, 2003 —Aeris.net, the leading network provider for wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) messaging, announced today that its MicroBurst network subscriber base has grown to more than 400,000 units. With this milestone, Aeris once again stands out as the clear choice for M2M communications services. Aeris, with its market-leading partners who develop M2M applications, are creating new solutions to enhance the security and efficiency of businesses and consumers.

Aeris's success is due both to continuing unit growth in the security and alarm monitoring market and to an increase in market demand for wireless mobile applications such as commercial fleet management. Overall, Aeris experienced a significant increase in unit deployment across all vertical markets.

"We set out to build the largest communication network in North America and we were confident the applications would follow," said Dick Gossen, CEO of Aeris.net. "MicroBurst Service provides seamless and reliable connectivity with unmatched coverage and exceptionally low cost. The service operates in real time and in any location where there is cellular coverage. We serve a broad array of commercial applications from companies throughout North America who entrust their connectivity to us."
